You do not need to create an account or share any personal information to get your shipping cost. Simply add items to your shopping cart and enter your location.
I normally ship the same day payment is received. Your purchase is packaged so that it will arrive at your location in the same condition I sent it out in. I can't understand sellers that will ship an expensive item in a plain envelope or thin box and expect it to cross the country without damage. Whether you spend $10 item or $1,000, I promise to pack your order carefully.
Why is shipping so expensive?
I agree that shipping costs are high but there's nothing I can do about that. I pass on my exact UPS charge including my business discount and then the shopping cart adds a whopping $1.50 to cover supplies and the fees we pay for payment processing.
How do I get insurance on my order? ( U.S. customers only )
Every US package sent is "insured" in one way or the other. When you purchase a product online, it's the MY responsibility to get that product to you, not just to the carrier. If the carrier loses a package and can't show delivery, it may not be my fault but it is my responsibility to correct the problem. If the carrier cannot prove that you received your package, I have a problem that needs to be taken care of. On the other hand, if the carrier shows delivery to your destination and it disappears from there, I will probably not be able to help you. It's your responsibility to provide a secure delivery destination.
If there are any problems with the package, please contact me immediately and I will work with you to resolve the situation. If the package arrives damaged, you will need to keep all of the packaging in order to file a claim with the shipper. No carrier will honor a damage claim without being able to examine the packaging.
Do you provide tracking?
You will receive an email from the store when your product is shipped. When I ship via the Post Office, Delivery Confirmation is used and that is often not updated until your package is delivered. If I ship UPS, they will email you with a tracking number that lets you know the delivery date.

- ORM-D Parcel Post is your only option and WILL TAKE FOREVER to arrive! These items will be shipped by truck to WA or CA and then by boat to you.
- Any ORM-D item shipped Parcel Post must be packaged in 1 LB primary containers. These 1 pound containers can then be put into a box and shipped together.
- You will not be able to take advantage of quantity pricing discounts.
Due to customs issues, currency conversion fees, and reliability issues with many international postal systems, we will not ship to most international locations. Please check before purchasing. If you really, really need something from the store, you might want to look into a US based Freight Forwarding Service.
International orders placed without prior approval are subject to immediate refund with a 10% cancellation fee. I get charged for processing fees and currency conversion fees even if I refund an order.
The only viable method of shipping outside of the US seems to be via the US Postal Service. I can get cheaper rates from UPS but they will charge you outrageous "brokerage fees" that may cost you as much as the item itself.
Bank wire transfers are a common method of payment elsewhere but cost $25 at most banks here in the US. Western Union transfers and cash concealed in an envelope are acceptable to me but are risky to you.

No, I will not consider marking your purchase as a "gift". My post office sees many packages a day from me and they know I don't give product away. Marking packages as a gift would tell them I have a habit of not being honest and could result in them delaying and inspecting other packages. I depend on them to help me when problems arise and their opinion of my integrity is important.
I'm also required to include an Invoice/Packing slip in the package. Not only is it required by your government, but the declared value is used to compute insurance on the package. If I declare a $100 package to be worth $20 and it gets lost, I'm only covered for the declared value.
Software is non-refundable for obvious reasons. Once you've opened a mailed CD or downloaded a file, you own it. If your file is damaged, I will replace it but under no circumstances will a refund be an option. If you buy the wrong manual, let me know and I'll send you a coupon code to help offset the cost of a new manual.
Tangible items can be returned within 10 days subject to a 10% restocking fee. You will need to pay for return shipping and tracking. Once I receive your return and verify it is in the same condition as you received it, I will process your refund.
